Arc Raiders Line in the Sand Guide Stock Up for Less at RSVSR

Version 1.7 made Buried City busier and meaner, but the ARC Raiders Line in the Sand quest is still a clean, straight job once you stop trusting the name “Marano Market” too much. Celeste hands it to you mid-game, and yeah, it pays well enough that even players pricing out ARC Raiders Coins will still want to run it legit for the Exodus Modules, Magnetic Accelerators, and Magnetrons. Short version: find the wrecked train, grab the business card, track the valve stash, photograph the basement boxes, then extract.

ARC Raiders Line in the Sand quest locations in Buried City

Start south of Marano Station, not inside it. That mistake cost me a raid and half my patience, because the actual derailed train sits in the middle stretch of Buried City, between Warehouse and Maintenance Depot, half-swallowed by sand. Walk close to the wreck and the objective kicks in. No fancy interaction. Just get near it and don't stand around admiring the scenic disaster while every Raider in the zip code hears your footsteps.

I'd bring a light loadout here, honestly. The 1.7 enemy density spike means fights can snowball fast, and this quest doesn't need some sweaty DPS build unless you're also farming Arc parts. After the train update, head northeast toward the small stone tower west of Piazza Roma. Inside, you'll find the Marano Market Business Card prompt, and here's the thing though: put that card in your Safe Pocket right away. If you die with it loose in your bag, no shot, you're hiking back to the tower.

Where is the Marano Market Business Card used?

The card points you toward Marano Market, but the map label you actually want is Market Ruins. That little naming mismatch is why this step feels busted when it isn't. Go northeast of the Hospital and approach the building's outer side near the north raider hatch; the quest should update when you're close enough. I didn't need to open every crate or clear the full area, which was a nice break from the usual “check every dark corner and get jumped” routine.

For the final leg, push northeast from Market Ruins toward the edge of the map, just north of Dune's End. You're looking for the merchant's apartment, though the game doesn't slap a big friendly marker on it. Find the eastern building with a zipline or elevator down, then drop into the basement. The target is a pile of boxes, but don't mash interact like I did the first time. Pull out the camera tool and take a photo. That's the part that finishes the objective.

Line in the Sand rewards and common bugs

Extract and talk to Celeste in Speranza, and she gives 2 Exodus Modules, 2 Magnetic Accelerators, and 2 Magnetrons. That tracks with why the quest matters: those materials feed into advanced gear paths like the Powered Descender, so skipping it slows your tech grind. If the business card stays in your inventory after the photo, sell it. I haven't seen it trigger anything else after completion, but take that with a grain of salt because quest item behavior has been kinda weird since players started reporting missing skill points.

What to run alongside Celeste's Buried City quest

Line in the Sand pairs nicely with A Wrench in the Works if you're already sweeping Buried City for water towers and the bus, but don't mix it up with Riven Tides-heavy questlines like Battening Down, Shoring Up Defenses, or Safe Harbor. If you're also feeding the Avian Alarm event before May 26, 2026, grab Tick Pods, Twilight Compass Ship Models, Comet Igniters, Vaporizer Regulators, Turbine Compressors, Rusted Gears, and Industrial Batteries when RNG stops being rude. I'm not sold on any claimed drop rate for Velocity or Sirena Dorata Ship Models yet, since the data floating around is thin. Still, this quest is a no-brainer run, and if you're juggling upgrades, stash space, and ARC Raiders Coins buy options mid-season, Celeste's payout helps more than it looks on paper. Just pocket the card, take the photo, and leave before Buried City gets ideas.
